Kodiak Siding Package Options

Although many of our customers choose a complete package with both siding and roofing, others want the advantages of our steel frame with the look of a more traditional house. Some want brick or stone walls, some want stucco or Drivit, and some want a combination of materials that includes some siding. We give you the option to choose the configuration you want on each wall. You can leave a wall totally open for other materials, or you can choose a siding package that covers the entire wall or only part of it.

No Siding / Full Siding
This option is fairly simple. You can choose to leave a wall completely open for other materials like brick or stucco, or you can elect to clad that wall from the ground to the roof with either steel siding or Polar Wall Plus insulated vinyl siding. If you choose a full siding package, you will receive the siding panels, fasteners and trim pieces necessary to complete the wall. If you choose siding for two or more adjacent walls, we will also supply you with corner posts to trim between them.

Siding Above 32 Inches
This option is for those who want to create a wainscot effect around the bottom 32 inches of one or more walls. For example, you could have a front wall clad entirely in rock and continue the rock effect around the base of the other three walls with siding the rest of the way up. Or you could only extend the wainscot around the sides and cover the back wall entirely in siding. Our system gives you the freedom to explore several design possibilities.

Siding For Gables / Dormers Only
As you know, a gable is the triangular section of a wall at the end of a sloped roof, and dormers are miniature house-like structures that project out from a roof. The sloping angles of these structures can make it difficult to cover them with materials like brick, and many people choose to stop at the eave (where the straight section of the wall ends and the sloping section begins) and use siding the rest of the way. When you select our "Gables / Dormers Only" option for a particular wall, we will supply you with siding and trim to cover all the gables and dormers visible on that wall. Be aware that not all walls have gables, in which case we will omit the option, and that some walls have more than one (for example, the Chenal). Also note that we count dormers on the wall they project from.
